I feel I am desperately in need of sleep. The last couple weeks have been crazy. Last week was my birthday week, whick was so great. My actual birthday was okay I had school until 2, work at 4.30, then afterwards went out for a couple drinks with my oldest friends. I think I heard from everyone I know that day, I felt so loved. Friday, Cale took me to a murder mystery dinner, which was really really fun. I am so glad he took me. Saturday, we slept in for a while and then saw
he's just not that into you. I liked it a lot it had a lot of good chickflick qualities but at the same time it was a good comedy. Plus, it had jennifer anisten. I am a friends addict and I love her. After the movie we went to cale's friend Kalyn's birthday party which was also really fun and laid back. around 3am we arrived back home and slept until I had to work again on sunday. Overall, it was a really great weekend.
This week, however has felt so hectic: work, school, midterm, and a work meeting from 9.30 pm-12am last night. I made the mistake of drinking 2 cups of coffee at 10 last night so I was wide awake by the time I got home. Then the adventure started: a few weeks ago I told Cale that I wanted to build a big cat scratcher for norman because I think he gets bored at the apartment and something to climb might be fun for him. I read this article online about making your own out of a cardboard tube that you can get for free at a carpet store, and some carpet, and whatever else. So, I tell Cale about it a few weeks ago and kind of forgot about it but I get home last night and see that Cale had found one of those tubes in a dumpster and brought it home. So now were both excited and long story short we got some carpet scraps and soon norman will have a big ol climber to play with. I am excited to make it. The plan is to stand it up in the corner next to the bookcase in our living room and then build a little bridge thing across to the other bookcase so he can climb up the scratcher and hang out on the top of the bookcase and cross to the other one if he wants. I read somewhere that cats like to be up high looking down, so I think he will enjoy it. Im excited for it. Anyone who knows me well enough knows that I absolutely adore that silly little norman. he's bundles of fun.
So that's pretty much the reason why I am so pooped today.
this weekend will not help either:
sat: work 12.30-12.30+ (cus its valentines day and i work at a restraunt)
then again on sunday: work 3.30-9ish.
